George Levy is a Communication Specialist with the Mora Pinzon Lab, coordinating their communication and marketing strategic efforts.

Before joining the lab, George worked as the Media Specialist for a Wisconsin Partnership Project Grant focused on improving and disseminating accurate COVID-19 information to the Black, LatinX, and Native Communities in Dane County and the Oneida Nation. George served as project coordinator and media specialist, aiding advocates in crafting over 900 culturally tailored social media messages for their communities.

George has vast experience working with culturally diverse communities to promote programming in their communities. He often works with organizations and small business owners of minoritized communities to help elevate their work utilizing digital platforms, such as social media and other online communication tools. He has consulted with multiple black businesses in the Madison area, such as the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce and the UMOJA magazine, and conducted workshops on “Marketing and Branding” for local Madison businesses. George has over 15 years of experience in graphic design, web development, and computer programming. Other prior roles include Vice President on the Caribbean Association of Madison’s board and as administrator of Andrews University’s Learning Management System – LearningHub. In his spare time, he loves gardening, tinkering with machinery, and spending time with his three small kids.
