Isabella Cook
Position title: Medical Student - Researcher
Isa is a third-year medical student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Her advocacy work with the Latino community began in 2018, when she served as an intern at Hopkins Community Connection in Baltimore, connecting patients and families to vital resources, particularly during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, she was a clinic coordinator at the Southside student-run clinic, where she helped expand access to care for uninsured patients by launching a transportation initiative. Isa has also contributed to quality improvement projects at the Wingra Family Medical Center, focusing on reducing barriers to cervical cancer screening. Outside of her academic pursuits, Isa is a dancer and loves cooking and baking for her friends and colleagues.
