Diana is a Master of Public Health (MPH) student and a registered nurse (RN). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at UW-Madison. To expand her expertise, as part of her MPH program, Diana is working with the Latino Health Council of Dane County on a project focused on understanding how the Latino community accesses health information. Her interests lie at the intersection of nursing and public health, specifically with regard to promoting health equity, developing community-based initiatives, and addressing the social determinants of health. She has clinical experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant caring for patients with cardiovascular conditions. She has also been involved in educational outreach through the UW-Madison’s PEOPLE Program, where she supported incoming college students exploring careers in nursing and public health.
