Bridget Pederson

Position title: Undergraduate Research Assistant

Bridget Pederson is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in Neurobiology and Spanish. She plans to attend medical school in the future. Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, she attended a Spanish-immersion school throughout her education and earned the Seal of Biliteracy, shaping her interest in communication and patient-centered care.

As an undergraduate research assistant in the lab, Bridget is excited to build her scientific skills and contribute to meaningful work. She previously volunteered as a Patient Care Technician in a cancer infusion center and currently participates in the New Friends Research Program, spending time with individuals living with dementia. She is also involved in Advocates for Alzheimer’s, the pre-medical fraternity Alpha Epsilon Delta, and volunteers with the Transition Education Program supporting Madison’s unhoused community. This past year, she also served as the community service chair for her sorority, where she planned events to help raise funds for the Transition Education Program.

Outside of academics, Bridget works at the front desk of Turnstyle Cycle and Yoga and enjoys attending workout classes. She hopes to become a cycle instructor in the future.
